Re: Dawning Dusk
"Yes ma'am," Will muttered, snickering to himself. As they walked into the woods, he could feel the air becoming purer, more desirable to breath.
ooc: Not that he needed to breath. XD

Re: Dawning Dusk
Danica took a deep breathe and released it. It was so refreshing. Not too deep in the woods they heard a rustle in the nearby bushes. Danica's head whipped towards the sound, her hair blowing in the wind. Her nostrils flarred as she took in the sent.
Re: Dawning Dusk
Will's eyes widened as he heard the sound. Hips lips parted as he drew in a very deep breath. His entire being was transforming into his bloodthirsty self.

Re: Dawning Dusk
Danica's eyes were completely black. Her lips drew back in a snarl. She took a step closer. I can't tell what it is... Can you? she asked, projecting her thoughts to Will.
Re: Dawning Dusk
No, Will replied. But I'm finding out. He tried to resist the urge to break out into a run, to find whatever had made the sound. But he knew that the very first rule of hunting was patience.

Re: Dawning Dusk
Danica jumped into the bush after the animal. After a moment she reappeared with blood tainting her lips. It was only a rabbit, she explained.
Re: Dawning Dusk
Of course. Will sighed mentally. His thirst was growing much stronger.

Re: Dawning Dusk
You can have the next one, she replyed with a grin. Danica continued walking quietly.

Thanks, Will replied monotonously, if thoughts can be monotonous. He followed Danica, snarling whenever he heard even the slightest unpredicted sound. He finally stopped dead in his tracks when he heard a louder rustling than before.

Re: Dawning Dusk
Danica, too, stopped. She peered in the noises direction, the smell of warm blood rushing into her nostrils. It's sound flowing through the creature's veins was almost too much to bare, but bare it she did. This was Will's kill.
Re: Dawning Dusk
Will's wide eyes glowed bright red. He sensed that this would be a good kill, and only paused shortly to think of Danica's thirst. He broke out into an impressive run in the direction of the sound, and within seconds was bending over the carcass of a doe.

Re: Dawning Dusk
Danica had followed him and was standing beside the tree, watching. Her thirst was not as strong as before, but it was definatly still strong. She waited until Will had finished. She heard the sound of crow calling above them, shaking off the dark omen. Enough bad had happened to Danica to last her a lifetime. Above her she saw that the sun was setting. Good, it'll soon be dark...
Re: Dawning Dusk
Will stood up, breathing heavily. The sky was turning a purple color with a burst of orange on the horizon. He was more satisfied now, calmer. He looked at Danica.

Re: Dawning Dusk
Danica's eyes glistened with a red tinge. She nodded her head in the direction they had been walking before she darted in that same direction at a great speed.
Re: Dawning Dusk
Will glided after her, following just a few meters behind. His muscles flexed as the cool breeze whipped through his hair, carrying the scent of more blood.

Re: Dawning Dusk
Something was near, Danica could smell it. She suddenly stopped and croutched down behind the bush. Peering through the bush's prickly leaves, Danica could see that it was a mountain lion feasting on a fawn. It's head was down, tearing away a piece of the poor creature's abdomen. Danica snarled. This would be fun. She darted from tree to tree so she could have a better advantage point. Danica took off and knocked the cougar off the fawn, hitting it with her shoulder in it's muscular side. She pinned the cat to the ground hissing. "You're mine," she whispered before she dug her nails across the cougar's coursely furred neck, killing it instantly. Her fangs easily found it's neck and she drank freely.
Re: Dawning Dusk
Will watched her, keeping a safe distance away so he wouldn't be tempted. He briefly thought of how wild he'd been the first year, always hunting; it was the same for all vampires, but he always felt slightly insane when hunting. Like his brain was being taken over by some unstoppable force. The force of pure thirst. He looked down, waiting patiently for Danica to finish.

Re: Dawning Dusk
It wasn't long before Dancia had sucked the poor lion dry. She stood up and wiped the blood off her face with the sleeve of her peacoat. She dashed over towards Will.
Re: Dawning Dusk
Good find, Will commented, seeing the lion's carcass lying a little ways away. He was glad they'd been successful so far.

Re: Dawning Dusk
Danica's eyes were much more golden now. She nodded. I feel much better. She continued walking, quietly. Her pace was much slower now as she was much more relaxed.
Re: Dawning Dusk
Same. His eyes were, too, softening. He adjusted his stride to be parallel to Danica's.

Re: Dawning Dusk
The two walked for awhile in silence. If someone had saw them they would just have thought they were a couple out for an evening stroll. But it was getting darker... Suddenly they heard laughter coming from a short distance away. Near the old cemetary, Danica thought. She spun towards the noise's general direction. No one should be there. It's far too dangerous. Whoever it was had no idea what lurked in the darkness not too far off.
Re: Dawning Dusk
Will growled; he thought, this is unusual. His hair blew in the wind, which was getting stronger each moment. What do you think this is about? he asked Danica mentally.
