Dawning Dusk
Set in modern day New York, this is the story of a vampire coven. Carefully hidden amongst the humans, the vampire race has flurished, thriving with the human's blood. Some are good, some are bad. This particular vampire coven tends to lean towards good, rarely partaking in human blood. Like most vampires, they have certain powers, powers that let them excell in the human world. Some have the power of prophecy, some of sight, some of voice, and some of heart. But there is one that is stronger than all else. She is the self-proclaimed Emporess Nosirrah. Having every power but that of heart, she seeks for that one vampire that will bring her all the power of the vampire race. But, little does she know this vampire is merely a girl of 17, hidden carefully within the humans. This is the story of that vampire girl, fighting against the odds of what she should be, a human.

Re: Dawning Dusk
So does this mean I can join with my human character, Julia Wood? Or should I be a vampire? Muhahahaha...
Re: Dawning Dusk
She can be one of her friends at school.
You have to play a boy, too. =p
I don't care you guys can play a human or a vampire.

Danica sat at her piano desk, trying to compose a new piece. She really should have been up in her bedroom working on her homework, but how many times can you do 11th grade American history before you memorized it? The melody she was writing was turning out beautiful, too.

Re: Dawning Dusk
Vilangle peeked out of the window of his dorm room. It was sunny, of course. I hate the sun, he thought. It reminds me of her. He sighed and typed on his keyboard. The essay he was writing for his professor was coming out well, but it bored him. He longed for excitement. College was boring; not as tedious as the first couple times through but it was still boring.

Re: Dawning Dusk
Danica quietly sang to her new medly in french. She had taken over 4 years of French in highschool and could speak it like a second language. No one was around or so she thought...
Re: Dawning Dusk
ooc: Can William creep up behind her out of nowhere?!?! PLEEAASSEE?!?!?! *puppy eyes*
ic: Bored out of his mind, Angle shut down his laptop and stretched his arms, yawning. "If I were still human," he muttered to himself, "This is the time when I would be getting a snack." He had forgotten how food had tasted. He longed to be able to enjoy it as humans did. Wine, too.

Re: Dawning Dusk
ooc: yeah...
ic: William seem to have appeared out of nowhere. "That's a beautiful song," he said softly, his hands folded in front of him. He smiled, his eyes shining with admiration.

Re: Dawning Dusk
A sour chord came out of the piano as Danica spun around. "Don't do that! Don't do that ever again!" she shouted. She noted the way he stood, gracefully, his eyes shining. "Thank you," she whispered as she looked down, flustered.
Re: Dawning Dusk
"I like surprising you. And you're welcome," he said, smiling even more. His tone was serious, yet smug. He shifted his weight so that it was perfectly balanced, his feet planted slightly farther away from each other than they usually were. His hands were still folded, his eyes still shining.

Re: Dawning Dusk
Danica's cheeks flushed. She turned back around to the piano, starring at it. She felt the awkward silence as if it was an emotion.
Re: Dawning Dusk
William turned around, staring at pictures on the wall. "How has your day been?" He asked, rubbing his arm.

Re: Dawning Dusk
Danica shrugged. "Same old, same old, I guess. Nothing ever really changes, does it?" She peeked over her shoulder at him starring at a particular picture. "What are you looking at?"
Re: Dawning Dusk
"Oh, um, nothing." He spun around, attempting to look innocent. But of course, he knew exactly what he had been looking at. It was a disturbing image; a gory scene with a cross. Yet that wasn't the most disturbing part. He thought of Katrina hanging there, and suddenly his heart began aching terribly, and the image would not leave his mind.

Re: Dawning Dusk
Danica nodded. Through all the years they'd lived in the coven together, Danica really didn't know much about Will. She lightly played her melody on the piano; an underlying tone amongst the silence.
Re: Dawning Dusk
Will felt slightly calmed by the music, but his internal balance was still disturbed. He wrapped one arm around his ribs, and leaned his other against the wall. His eyes were still closed. He listened to Danica play.

Re: Dawning Dusk
Danica used her powers to try to see what was bothering Will, but all she could find was a brick wall. She tried to penetrate it with sincere peace and genuine hope. Her fingers danced across the ebony and alabaster keys, producing the purest sound as the volume crescendoed.
Re: Dawning Dusk
Will opened his mouth to say something, but then shut it quickly. He was going to thank Danica for playing, because it was soothing him. But he then remembered that he didn't wish to reveal that he was in pain. A lock of hair fell onto his forehead as he slowly and quietly sighed, his mind relaxing.

Re: Dawning Dusk
Danica felt him relax. Her fingers easily slipped into something much more soothing and bright; it reminded her of a lullaby. "So... what did you come in here for exactly?" she asked, making small talk. She wanted to keep his mind from delving back to where it had just been.
Re: Dawning Dusk
"I wanted to see you. To talk, I suppose..." his eyes opened as a sense of peace washed over him, melting his emotions. "It's been awhile." He turned back to face her again, shifting into that charismatic graceful stance.

Re: Dawning Dusk
The corners of Danica's mouth lifted in a smile; something she haden't done for a while. She continued to run her fingers over the keys. "Not much to talk to secluded up in that room of your's, huh?" she chuckled, lightening the mood. "Yes, it has been a while. A long while..."
Re: Dawning Dusk
Will stepped closer. "No one. I barely even talk to any one in our coven." His eyes traveled to Danica's graceful hands traveling over the piano's keys. "It's nice to talk to others, though... people I'm close to. Or those that I want to be close to."
